1. Democracy Excellence Course:
The political sector has been ignored by youth as a career option mainly because it usually requires the individual to join a political party. There is 'traditional stigma of low values associated with those in politics' for obvious reasons such as corruption, violence, bribery, caste-politics and more. The 'Smart - Joy Street' is the centre-piece of this program and has not much scope for 'Party Politics'. Further the 'core power' involved in the formation of each 'Smart - Joy Street' is unconditional-love manifested as 'concern for one another'; which brings peace and joy. Hate and violence undoubtedly lead to loss and is the prime reason (and for good reason too!) people with values have kept-away from politics. Through Smart - Joy Street, the traditional 'negative' stigmas attached to working in the political sector is avoided; the focus is on nurturing sincere, honest and prudent individual leaders with love occupied hearts.
This multi-disciplinary course from 'School of Democracy Excellence' is designed to inspire, empower, and enable youth to embark on a career of people politics, to fulfil the desire to bring about transformation and improvement in the quality of life of people in society, at crucial the governance level. 'Smart - Joy Street', the flagship program of this course, is founded on 'Sociocracy' with the potential of ushering people into participative Grass-root Good Governance Groups (4G). After taking this course, youth can choose and work either as individuals or in groups, on specific geographical locations where they feel like working and they can 'make a difference' based on their interests, skills and other inherent potential. The course also equips these democracy excellence students with 'Nature Stewardship' Entrepreneurial inputs that essentially build capacity of them to become self-reliant socio-political entrepreneurs.

2. People and Planet Stewardship Entrepreneur Course:
'People and Planet Stewardship Entrepreneur Course' equips youth for a rewarding career in a transformative social entrepreneurship (about which we have already shared details on City Care Careers). This will be facilitated by the 'Nature Stewardship Entrepreneurship School'. 'Giving - Creating - Getting Joy' is a fundamental component of Nature Stewardship Entrepreneurship and thus they are also called 'Joypreneurs'! They function from diverse disciplines such as technology, culture contextualization, sociology, wellness and spirituality with a common thread of creating and spreading joy by professionally working for the common good of society. Thus 'Joypreneurs' are architects of hope; ushering love, establishing peace and creating joy in various sectors. Cities are the engines of our civilization's development and the Government of India has identified 100 cities across the nation for development into 'Smart- Cities'. However, the paradox is that almost all cites in India have many 'Joyless' aspects, such as citizen insecurity, gender violence, suicide, cleanliness and hygiene, inhuman slum-dwelling conditions, unhygienic-sanitation, begging, rag-picking, pollution of water, land and air and so on. Presently there is not much thought given to all these to bring about rapid change. Further, there is a glaring dearth of skilled persons equipped to bring about the expected transformation.

'Smart - Joy City Entrepreneur Certification Course' will educate and equip the youth to pragmatically and with a social entrepreneurial, people participative approach, emancipate 'people and environment' in the city, caught in 'Joylessness'. This multidisciplinary course from the Economy of Joy School' will also work on 'City Joy Indices', which is to help governments promoting smart-cities to know where to marshal resources, in order to transform joyless aspects of the city. The first step for this will be to do a 'Joy Indices' survey for the designated Smart Cities. This will enable governmental agencies to identify the 'joylessness' prevalent in society and focus their programs effectively. Joy Indices program is done in association with the Psychology / social-work / NSS departments of local colleges and thus connects with the academia.
