Smart - Joy Street is formed at street level for educating, organizing, empowering and networking people via the 'Street Parliament Authority Network'. Citizens are made aware that 'joy' is everyone's birth right irrespective of status. However joy cannot thrive when there is an oppression, corruption and injustice. Joy can come only when peace prevails and lasting peace comes by imbibing the unifying power of unconditional love in the hearts and systems of society. 'Unconditional love' is the basic building block for gathering street residents to form a 'Street Parliament' for the common good; with the pursuit of 'Joy' (the birth right of every person) the primary objective. Awareness about the two energy cycles namely the cycle of joy and cycle of loss is essential. The joy energy cycle begins with unconditional love, love>peace>joy! The loss energy cycle starts with hate, hate>violence>loss! Joy can never be accessed from hate!

Smart - Joy Street is the centrepiece of decentralized dynamic inclusive democracy of the future. In groups of 20 residents of a street form a 'Street Parliament' and get engaged in participatory governance. Parliaments from various streets get connected through a federation process. Each parliament has a president and all the members are ministers with responsibility towards a particular civic aspect like sanitation, electricity, safety etc.

In taking decisions at Street Parliament meetings 'consent' is used rather than 'consensus'; which does away with the 'opposition' and opens opportunities for cooperation!

In each Street Parliament the 'Me' (individual), 'Us' (group) and 'We' (the world) realms get connected through a 'Work-Play' process wherein every-one and every-thing matters; the resonance of which ensures individual purpose fulfilment and advancement of common good.

The constant involvement of all members in 'good-works' curbs negativity like hatred, gender violence and crime. Thus citizens can ensure they have a clean and safe environment, well-being of body-mind-spirit and fulfilled living; enabling holistic progress for all citizens.
